A few minutes from the center of Trapani, Trapani Birgi “Vincenzo Florio” airport, extremely safe and well connected with all of Italy and Europe, is the ideal gateway to come and spend a study holiday in Sicily.
A very frequent bus service connects the airport with Trapani (AST company) in just over half an hour.
Falcone e Borsellino airport in Palermo Punta Raisi is also not far from Trapani (80 km) and there is a direct bus that arrives in Trapani (Segesta company) in just over an hour. There are no direct train connections from the airports to Trapani.
For those who come to study Italian by the sea and want to explore Sicily, we recommend renting a car to visit sites that are not well connected by public transport. At both airports it is easy to rent a car.
Private transfer from the two airports of western Sicily:
During the high summer season, a shared transfer service from Palermo airport is also available for around €25 per person. It is the intermediate solution between the bus on one side and the private transfer on the other, very useful especially when a flight lands in Palermo in the evening, not giving the possibility to take the last bus to Trapani.
